Together, we hope to\u00a0envision a\u00a0future within an\u00a0unnamed collective, attempting to\u00a0discover cultural codes and\u00a0reconstruct the\u00a0imagination of\u00a0what future Indigenous\u2019 ceremonial music and\u00a0dance might become. Thus, the\u00a0Indigenous Punk series emerges.<\/span><\/p>\n Cultural fluidity is a\u00a0collective behavior, recreated through our continuous interactions with the\u00a0environment. The\u00a0discoveries made by\u00a0myself and\u00a0the\u00a0dancers during this migration constitute the\u00a0unique version and\u00a0creative interpretation for\u00a0this iteration. Together, we examine and\u00a0enact existing traditional forms of\u00a0music and\u00a0dance, interweaving each dancer\u2019s unique background and\u00a0movement phrases to\u00a0develop the\u00a0possibilities of\u00a0 From traditional collective circle dances to\u00a0individual ascending and\u00a0descending spirals; from visibly holding hands to\u00a0invisible linear connections; from bound flow movement to\u00a0free flow movement, revealing the\u00a0kinetic energy oscillating among the\u00a0elbows, spine, and\u00a0center of\u00a0weight; from traditional stepping and\u00a0jumping to\u00a0 The\u00a0live work La XXX Punk\uff1a Every part of\u00a0the\u00a0La XXX Punk series starts with a\u00a0manifesto. This is because the\u00a0series is our search to\u00a0think about how indigenous dance can be in\u00a0the\u00a0future.
