Adrian Rifkin, Professor of Visual Culture & Media at Middlesex University joined the ResCen Research Associates to discuss ‘Transformation and the Artist’. Adrian has researched and written widely on topics ranging from popular music and opera, to Kantian aesthetics and gay subjectivities. In this seminar, each of the artists talked about notions of change, catalytic processes and alchemy, not only in their creative process, but also in the context of themselves as practicing artists.

Guest speaker: Professor Adrian Rifkin
Participating ResCen artists: Richard Layzell, Rosemary Lee, Graeme Miller, Errollyn Wallen
Chair: Chris Bannerman, Head of ResCen
